Thanks for the reminder Dan.

Each year I approach the Christmas events with a sense of amazement that people from all walks of life come together to sing songs about the saviour. May faith rise up in our hearts for them as we celebrate the King's coming to earth. I too want to encourage the younger musicians who may struggle with the coolness of these tunes. Let's embrace the truths of these ancient hymns/carols and find fresh expressions for them.

Dan,

I am a Vineyard worship leader now, but great up as a PK in the Methodist Church. I agree with you that "tradition" isn't always a bad thing, and we should abide by the traditions that enrich our lives as believers. Thanks for taking the time to write it!
