EVENTS FOR BOOKING

1. What Is Worship? Events

What is worship? Trace the story of worship from the image of God in mankind to God’s intimate invitation to worship today. Rediscover how the biblical heart of worship is enfleshed in a human life – and overflows in the songs we sing.

Touching the timeless questions of who we worship, why we worship and how we worship, this event powerfully sketches a life lived coram deo – in the presence of God. Join us as we reclaim a worldview of worship that places God at the center, makes sense of the songs we sing, and touches every person on the planet.

What is worship? Join us on a living journey, exploring the full scope of our vertical and horizontal worship calling. What Is Worship? is an adventure in sacred wonder and holy mystery.

Event includes audio visuals and video interviews with N.T. Wright, Matt Redman, Brian Doerksen and others.

2. Coram Deo (a night of ancient-future, acoustic worship)

…acoustic worship …ancient hymns …contemporary songs …prayers from all streams of the Church …candles and images …beautiful architecture …extended time to linger in the presence of God.

Coram Deo is a Latin phrase meaning, “…in the presence of God.”

Held in church buildings (or other facilities) that are architecturally beautiful, Coram Deo is a night of acoustic worship designed to wed the best of the contemporary worship experience with the worship riches of the past.

Blending hymns, chants, contemporary worship music, prayers and the Eucharist, all enfolded in the aesthetics of beautiful architecture and inspiring environment, Coram Deo is a 2 hour experience of ancient-future worship.

Coram Deo has been especially effective in building bridges between the contemporary worship experience and the liturgical worship experience.

3. The Worship Artisan (Institute Remote Module Course With SSU)

St. Stephen’s University and The Institute Of Contemporary & Emerging Worship Studies offer a 4-day, Module Short Course in Worship Leader Formation.

This is a university “short-course,” designed specifically and exclusively to deepen experienced lead worshipers, offered in a beautiful location in your area, in an informal, study retreat format – optimized for the creative leader. This course is a “taste of” the extended 2 Week, One Year, and 3 Year Module Institute courses offered at St. Stephen’s University.

Led by internationally respected worship leader, writer and artist Dan Wilt (M.Min.), this 4 day module course will engage worship leaders in spiritual formation readings and reflection, while deepening the devotional (spiritual formation study), biblical (reimagining biblical worship), theological (Trinitarian, creational, historic and aesthetic) and creative worldview (artistry, historic reflection, postmodern reflection) of today’s worship artisan and spiritual leader.

Tuitions and fees for students come back to the Institute after agreements are arranged with the host.

4. The Elemental Leader

Building on the elemental themes of earth (grounded worship), wind (living worship), fire (power-filled worship) and water (communal worship), The Elemental Leader gathering is designed to invoke conversation over vital elements in the creative leader’s way of life and work, and to leave you with lasting tools for strengthening your creative leadership - and your church’s worship encounters. This work draws on spiritual formation ideas from across the life span of the Church, toward building the interior life of the creative species of leader.

GUIDELINE COSTS:

As our work is now centered around the Institute Of Contemporary & Emerging Worship Studies, and as requests for Dan to come increase, we have now established a general fee schedule for Dan to come to do major events. These costs are established based on enabling Dan and his family to be sustained over the long haul.

These guidelines do not relate to simple invitations for Dan to speak or to lead worship at a local community services, etc. as a one-off here and there. If Dan is available, whatever you’d like to give in response to his work is appreciated. We’d only ask that gas/meal expenses could be covered.

THESE ARE SUGGESTED GUIDELINES ONLY, as Dan is asked often for these “ballparks,” and we are always open to discussion should these guidelines pose a difficulty. As traveling work is part of Dan’s family income, the following has been put together to reflect those ongoing needs related to the displacement and preparation time an event creates.

* We request that a secondary airfare and basic meal expenses, either for Dan’s wife, one of his children, or for someone Dan is mentoring/co-working with (often an artist, musician or worship leader) be covered by the hosting group. This enables Dan to do this work for the long-term, and to continue to disciple others along the way.

We suggest $700 US per main session + expenses (speaking or worship leading)
We suggest $800 US per main session + expenses (speaking and worship leading)
We suggest $500 US per secondary session + expenses (i.e. workshop session)
We suggest $1000 US + expenses (Coram Deo, one-night concert or worship concert, with rehearsal, etc.)

For a full What Is Worship? conference, the flat fee we suggest is $2100 US plus expenses. In these Dan teaches, runs workshops and leads worship for some of the sessions. This is also a multi-media event (see above).

At all events, we request permission for Dan to give out Institute/SSU materials, and to host brief information sessions (over a meal often works best) for those interested in the Institute/SSU.
