When tension is in the air at an airport, or in a soul, music can bring the alleviation and release needed to keep perspective.

This video, shot in an airport with Josh Wilson, reminds us of the power of a familiar song.

Apply the principle in worship expression – what happens when we sing together?

  1. That dude should get upgraded. Now.

  2. I love this. I had a similar experience last year in NYC on a trip with my mother and sister. Late one night we took the subway back to our hotel. The doors closed and four guys got up and did an acapella version of an old gospel song. It was wonderful. They passed the hat and got off at the next stop! Everyone was smiling. It turned a routine subway ride into a great memory. Wish I had a video camera with me then!

  3. Ha. We did this same thing in a St. Petersburg, Russia subway, and then once in an airport.

Only, in both cases, no one joined in. We didn’t use a Beatles tune apparently.
