Another morning’s gift from our great friends over at Inward/Outward.

front-prairie-grass-and-skyIf you don’t get their daily emails, I encourage you to. Many lifting moments they send out daily.

Life’s Meaning
Fra Giovanni Giocondo

Life is so full of meaning and purpose,
so full of beauty beneath its covering,
that you will find earth but cloaks your heaven.
Courage then to claim it; that is all!
But courage you have, and the knowledge
that we are pilgrims together,
wending through unknown country home.

And so, at this time, I greet you,
not quite as the world sends greetings,
but with profound esteem and with the prayer
that for you, now and forever,
the day breaks and shadows flee away.

  1. Thank you for sharing this Dan. This is very uplifting and profound.

So many people miss out on life’s beauty in and around them. For our life to have meaning we must know that we are part of a bigger story; God’s story. God has created us and we have a purpose in life, but we forget who we are, who the people are around us, and where we came from.

We must remind ourselves what we are here for and be courageous as we travel through this world together. We must take hold of the truth and proclaim the good news.
