Dan,

This is a beautiful poem. The "roaring bread and singing cup" are gorgeous anthropomorphisms to express Christ's life bursting out of the communion elements. Maybe they aren't anthropomorphisms at all. Maybe the Eucharist itself is a type of augmented teaching from Christ still being taught to us today (from Him directly) via our following his directions to remember it. That phrase alone ("roaring bread and singing cup") brought this all rushing to my mind at once. Thanks for your expression here!
