A Letter from Dan: That Time We Learned… Together

Aug. 28, 2021

Dear fellow worship leader,

I remember when my local church worship leader decided it was time to invest in a few of us who were in our early years of worship leading.

My worship pastor saw something in me I didn’t see in myself—and the investment of time and training literally set the trajectory of my life. 30+ years later, worship leading is central to my life and calling.

When I became a worship pastor in our local church, I wanted to do for others what my worship leader did for me.

I chose 4 young worship leaders, both male and female, and worked with this group in any way I could.

  • We would gather for nights of teaching and encouragement.
  • We would go to conferences together.
  • We would spend late nights around a fire laughing and sharing stories.
  • We would hang out at my home, so they could see how our family worked.

But one of the best things I did with this group?

We trained with experienced leaders—together.

Like my mentors, I wanted to expose these growing worship leaders to “worship leader elders”—those who were bringing great wisdom and longevity to bear on our season of worship leadership training.

When a highly experienced worship leader was in town, I would expose my group to their insights for a morning or a meal.

Out of those times of training grew an entire Worship School in our church, and we trained over 50 worship leaders through the years.

The Worship Leader Master Class is my way of providing that kind of training opportunity both to you and to those you are working with as fellow worship leaders.

It’s priced very low so it’s accessible to everyone. And by the time the 3-Hour Zoom is over, not only will everyone be encouraged, but each worship leader will leave with a lifetime of training tools for the worship teams with which they serve.

I’ve invited my good friend and worship leader mentor Harmony Smith of Vineyard Worship UK & Ireland to join in, because she is among the best in the world I know for encouraging worship leaders in how to care for their own heart over a lifetime.

As I always say with the resources I develop and provide, the quality of the material is only matched by how inexpensive it is. And even then, if a worship leader can’t afford the low cost, I believe in the content enough to say “just email me and we’ll work it out.”

I’m bringing 30+ years of insights, both from my own experience and from the experience of others from whom I’ve gleaned wisdom to share during this time of disruption and change. It’s back to essentials for us. And I would like to share it with you.

Let’s learn together in the Worship Leader Master Class on Sat. Sept. 11, 2021, 9 am – 12 pm.

You can register here, and early bird registration ends tomorrow at 7 pm Central Wed. Sept. 1. You’ll get the videos of the teaching if you register, so if you can’t make it, you can take it in later.

And you can re-use those videos for local training.

If you can afford it, it will be worth it, I promise.

And each person will get over $299 worth of bonus resources to take into their future. Again, if you can’t afford it, just email me at danwiltresources@gmail.com and we’ll set you up.

I don’t want you, or any of your worship leaders, to miss this opportunity.

But it’s the last time I’ll offer it this year, and perhaps in 2022.

All the details are below.

Join me in the Worship Leader Master Class;  I look forward to seeing you there!

Cheering you on,

Dan +

To copy/paste/edit for your church to contribute to costs:

Dan Wilt, a respected worship leader and trainer from the Vineyard family of churches, is offering a Worship Leader Master Class on Sat. Sept. 11, from 9 am – 12 pm, on Zoom. The Master Class is intended to provide a “reset” to worship leaders as we through the challenge of worship leading through the cultural times we are in.

Drawing on insights from many modern “worship leader elders,” the goal is to encourage us and to return with us back to the essentials of worship leadership. There will be training and teaching, as well as literally hundreds of training resources given to us for our team.

I would like to do this personally (or with a group of us), and the cost is just $59 USD by Sept. 1.

Please get back to me if this would be a possibility.

Thank you,

Sheltering Mercy: Prayers Inspired by the Psalms

Sheltering Mercy, along with its companion volume, Endless Grace, helps us rediscover the rich treasures of the Psalms—through free-verse prayer renderings of their poems and hymns—as a guide to personal devotion and meditation.

The church has always used the Psalms as part of its prayer life, and they have inspired countless other prayers. This book contains 75 prayers drawn from Psalms 1-75, providing lyrical sketches of what authors Ryan Smith and Dan Wilt have seen, heard, and felt while sojourning in the Psalms. Each prayer is a response to the Psalms written in harmony with Scripture. These prayers help us quiet our hearts before God and welcome us into a safe place amid the storms of life.

This artful, poetic, and classic devotional book features compelling custom illustrations and foil-stamped hardcover binding, offering a fresh way to reflect on and pray the Psalms.
