My name is Dr. Dan Wilt, and I’m a Spiritual Life Coach and mentor for creative leaders. For over 35 years I’ve served creative leaders of faith as what the ancient Celts called an anam cara, a “soul friend.”
Over the decades as an author, art director, and songwriter, I found myself coming into wholeness in my calling as a follower of Jesus and as an artist, but also as a spiritual companion, mentor, coach, director, and guide to these remarkable souls. In community learning settings, and one-on-one, miracles of growth happened.
The artistic professionals I worked with needed:

Through my experience as a mentor to hundreds of musicians, filmmakers, designers, creative ministry leaders, and authors, and through my research on the spiritual formation of the artist, I have come to believe that this unique type of leader needs a unique path of spiritual formation as they follow Jesus. Conventional models are good, but they are often ineffective with artistic professionals of faith. Creative leaders need community. We need stories. We need metaphors. We need laughter. We thrive when friendship, art, food, and beauty are the environment for our learning.
We all fumble, we all falter, on the Way of Jesus. Creative leaders have a long-standing reputation for having trouble with the details of life—including self-management, time management, marriage, family life, and curating a sustainable faith. When our spiritual life is weak and struggling we slowly lose ground—one day finding ourselves stuck, anxious, aged, and unable to make progress in faith, family, life, or business.
Out of my calling to see artists come into greatness in faith, in life, and in art, I designed three transformational spiritual life coaching products to help creative leaders flourish—overcoming anxiety, settling issues of calling, strengthening relationships, honing leadership skills, and thriving in friendship with Jesus.

As a fellow follower of Jesus, I know that creative leaders need a unique approach to establishing rhythms and habits that work at home, at work, and on the road. Yes, we’re humans, but we see the world in ways that are unique and powerful.
My doctoral research with creatives revealed that artistic professionals of faith learn best in community, establish new habits over time, and need fresh and sometimes unconventional approaches to their unique leadership and spiritual development.
