Here is my creative project! I’ve used an early Christian hymn from the Book of Common Prayer and arranged it for a modern congregation.

So here is my song that is music to His heart, not necessarily to my ears.
Actually, almost my whole worship team helped me out last second to put this together. Cheers guys!
The creative project is done and I only had to stay up till 3 am for one night! I wrote a song and put together a wee video to go along with it. Lots of fun! Enjoy!

Here’s my song, I Belong to You. It was inspired in week three by Dan Wilt’s writings on the nature of God as King. We recorded it last night… gosh, I’m tired!

Hi Everyone,
Here is my creative project, my attempt was to write a song that could be used and sung in a small group or a worship gathering on Sunday mornings.

I’ve posted my creative project – a song I wrote called ‘Are We Ready’.
Unfortunately I experienced some technical problems linking my MP3 recording but it should be available over the weekend. I welcome all comments – the good, the bad and the ugly!

Hey all!
I did a video for my creative project, and was unable to upload it to my blog,
so it’s in our Essentials blue Facebook classroom, where the videos are.
I was so hoping not to put it there, it ended up going to everyone on my friend list! Doh!
Ha, ha, ha….
I can’t wait to hear what you think – LOL!
Smiles,
M
Here’s my project – feedback is welcome!

Hi guys,
Ye Olde Creative Project (including chords etc) is located on my blog (click on my name above), or for those of you who are all blogged out, you can follow the link below to just hear the song

Have fun…
Mark
OK – you’ll have to copy and paste that link into your browsers as I’ve completely ignored any sane naming conventions and therefore Facebook has given up trying to interpret it…

Here is the unfinished project.
Here is the unfinished project with a link that works this time.
i believe, if you click on my name, it’ll take you to my blog…
could use tweaking, but here it is!
This is the link for the idea for my project http://www.ibread.biz/ebCreativeProject.pdf
Seeing as it has a very visual element to it, it is difficult to imagine and, therefore, incomplete until I am able to upload a video of it…hopefully within the next week or so. I’ll post again here when the video is up.
Sorry if this is a duplicate. I’m not seeing it come up on the webpage.
This is a link to my creative project: http://www.ibread.biz/ebCreativeProject.pdf. It needs the visual in order for the written to make sense. I hope to post a video within the next week or so.
You will find my creative project at http://www.patproudfoot@wordpress.com
Cheers!
Trying an experiment – if you click here do you get a working link to my creative project?
YES! It works.
So please do click here and you can check out me choon! Sorry I’m late in posting the link here, and thanks to Martin E. for pointing it out.
Here’s my project. Feedback welcome.

I didn’t realize that we ahve t post it here. I’ve posted my creative project on the class page. I am not surehow to upload the song or video to here. Nor do i know how to make a pdf file. But I have the text document for the chord chart. Anyone what to help?
Also wordpress only allows oyu to upload pics, ot video or mp3 files.
Please go to the eb class fassbood group to see or hear the song. Here is what I have written there:
Let Your Kingdom Come
Guitar Capo 4 or 5 Play as G
(transposed from B or C)
Intro & tag: |:G Gsus|G D/F#
G Gsus-G D G Gsus-G D
Jesus, Name above all Names
G Gsus-G D G Gsus-G D
Jesus, Creator of all things
C2
Jesus, our God You reign
G Gsus-G D G Gsus-G D
You reign on high, on high
Jesus, You dwell with the broken
Jesus, Your cross has spoken
Jesus, You cried,”It is finished”
You were raised on high
From the cross to the sky
Em C2 G D
You restored the place of man with God
Em C2 G D
And we respond with praise, and love, as we bow
Em C2 G D
Your Kingdom’s here today and forever
Am C2 G Gsus-G D G Gsus-G D
And we will be Your servants to this world
Jesus, creation is longing
Jesus, salvation is ringing
Jesus, Your echoes of mercy
Fill the earth
In all the nations of this world
Jesus, so just and holy
Jesus, You came for the lowly
Jesus, we’ll tell Your story
To all mankind,
Every man, woman, child
You restored the place of man with God
And we respond with praise, and love, as we bow
Your Kingdom’s here today and forever
And we will be Your servants to this world
Yes we will be Your Kingdom in this world
Let Your Kingdom come
(Through me Lord, through Your church Lord)
Let Your will be done
(In all the earth)
I wanted to write a song that worships and praises Jesus, yet propels us to respond, and tells us how to respond. Specifically, this song is a personal and direct declaration to Jesus and about who Jesus is to the worshiper, what he did for them on the cross (intentionally mentioned in the song),and the worshipers role now as they respond to what He has done for them/us/me in His ever-present advancing Kingdom for today and the future.
Lord -”Name above all Names”, “You reign on high”, “So just and holy”.
Creator-”Creator of all things”
Community-”You dwell with the broken”, “You restored the place of man with God”.
Redeemer/Restorer of all things-the cross theme, “You said, “It is finished””, “You came for the lowly”, “You restored the place of man with God”.
How we respond to what Christ had done, as well as celebrate and show our reverence towards God-”And we respond with praise and love as we bow”, “And we will be Your servants and kingdom in and to this world”, “We’ll tell Your story to all mankind, every man, woman, child.”,
How God’s voice of love and mercy echo throughout the world-“Your echoes of mercy fills the earth, in all the nations of this world.”
Kingdom Theology or inter-connected spheres of God and Man-”Your kingdom’s here today and forever”, meaning that it is not lost in the past, nor far away in the lofty future by and by, but for today.
The final tag is a simple prayer and a surrender allowing God to lead and do His will. This included the additional phrasing,”through me Lord, and, “Through the church Lord”, making it imminent or today-affecting, personal and communal.
I also wanted to point out the individual (small i’s)and broader humanity (small we’s) effect God’s love has:-”to all mankind, fill the earth, in all the nations of this world, every man, woman child”.
Then in the production of the song, I wanted to be creative with multiple sounds to demonstrate the creativity of God through music, and the delay and reverb to hint on to the “Echoes of God” as mentioned in the book “Simply Christianity” by Bishop N T Wright.
I hope it blesses you all. Believe it or not, the whole song was done in my bedroom with just myself. We live in a great day and age with technology and instruments that can be used for God! I love this day and age for that!
(Sorry this explanation is late-I actually forgot that we had to do it, though it was always in mind, especially in the production of this song.)
fassbood=facebook. I type too fast,
Ok, so I paid the $20.00 (grrrrrrrrr), and uploaded my project. Please let me know what you think of the song if you can (not so much of the video or recording quality). Blessings!
(Sorry for all the posts here).
Here’s my project. I wrote a song called All Things New, which was heavily influenced by participating in Essentials Blue. To the journey…
Here’s my creative offering. It’s a simple song which praises God as our creator and acknowledges who we are, who we belong to and all that we have to be thankful for.
It’s only words and a chord sheet. When I find out how to post it as an mp3 I’ll add that too.
Our Father’s Voice
E Eb/ B A B E
Hear the praise of all creation Know our hearts and hear our cries
E Eb/B A B E
We are called to be your children Mirrored in our Father’s eyes.
E Eb/B A B E
See your glory all around us Know the reasons to rejoice
E Eb/B A B E
See the beauty that surrounds us Echoes of our Father’s voice
C#m Eb/B A E C#m G#m A
Lord make your Kingdom known Release your power
C#m Eb/B A E A E A E

Hi folks
A very ‘rough’ recording of my song is now available on my blog.

Feedback welcome.

For those of you who may be more technologically inclined than oh, let’s say, me, could someone offer an explanation, in english (not like the jargon offered on the snap website) as to how we might be able to upload our mp3’s to our blog’s? I can’t understand what they mean when they say you have to copy and paste the text in the HTML and what not…
hello everyone,
i have posted a pdf with directions on how to upload an mp3 to your wordpress blog at the bottom of my creative project post.
here is the link, if you have any questions feel free to ask.
http://michaelclapp.wordpress.com/2009/02/11/creative-project-essentials-blue/
hi chris,
i had a hard time figuring it out too…
first of all, on wordpress, you have to pay $20 to upgrade to get more space. wordpress does not allow you to upload music on the standard plan. you’ll find this option on the left when you’re in your dashboard (when you’re logged into wordpress, you’ll see “my dashboard” on the upper left-hand corner of the screen).
once you have upgrade (that is, if you choose to upgrade), add a new post. under the title, you’ll see a small, grey image of musical notes. a box will open up. click “select file”. find your mp3 file on your computer. click “select”, and you’ll see a progress bar while your file is being uploaded. when it’s done, you’ll see info about the file – title, caption, description, and link url. click “insert into post”.
the first time i tried it, i got a message box asking me if i wanted to add a link or something…make sure you say yes. but you might not get this message…
i think that’s it! hope that helps!
Here’s my final project. What fun this last 5 weeks was!
Ok, I think this one is the correct link.

Hi Friends,
The link for my final project is http://alisonkitchen@wordpress.com. Many thanks to Michael Clapp for helping me in numerous ways to get this done!!!! I think he deserves an MVP award for all his help. I think I am not the only one he has assisted. I am going to wait to take the other two units of essentials as I am homeschooling my high school senior and have severely neglected her these last six week. I have a stack of books I am reading in the meantime so I will probably be really dangerous when I come back. I have been made rich by your fellowship, all of you, in this time and you have made the winter fly by!!!! I hope to see all of you in another course and I pray God will bless each of you with more, more, more of HIM!
In His Love,
Alison Kitchen

For some reason I didn’t post my project here…
But here it is! Better late than never!
http://michaeltron5000.wordpress.com/2009/02/14/rescue-me-essentials-blue/
There’s another link inside the post that will take you to my myspace to actually listen to the song. Hope you like!
Ok, what I am submitting doesn’t really look like many hours of work, but I assure you, it took me long enough. They are the lyrics to the song I am writing for this project, but I haven’t been able to work through the chords for the guitar completely enough, so I am essentially just submitting a poem.
The video for my project is now up. Now the pdf will make more sense…I hope

I am in the same boat as Chris. It took me hours to squeeze anything resembling lyrics out of me. It will take more time to put a melody together or in my case – a drum beat.
FINALLY…!!
Big thanks to my husband for putting up with me in such a wrecked emotional state these past few weeks, and also for doing all the technical stuff with the recording, uploading files etc – I couldn’t have done it without him!
Well,
here is my project, sorry didnt realise I needed to post a link here – oops!
I normally play guitar and dont sing or write or anything so this is very embarrasing, and I dont think its very good, but I promised I would try to learn as much as I could and I wont do that by always playing safe, so here is my attempt.
Have loved the course, even though I wish I had more time, you guys are all great and I look forward to seeing you all throughout the coming months – have a great year folks
Mark

For anyone who is interested in exploring the theme of Lent further. I have now finished and uploaded the service I have prepared for this Ash Wednesday 2009. There is a leaders guide that can be printed off and also a downloadable pdf for participants.
It can be used tonight for Ash Wednesday or during the week for a homegroup.
Super late getting this on here but here you go (just click the link to the song “We Surrender (Everything)” … blessings to you all.
